This is the first year that the Wellington Sustainability
Group has combined its Vegie Open Garden Tour with Earth Fest. The program of gardens is available via the link below and (in the spirit of reducing waste) limited hard copy versions will be
available from local outlets.
Sunday 10am to 2pm
The 2012 program of gardens is small and intimate allowing
you plenty of time to stroll and enjoy the five gardens on display. Share the
successes and tribulations of your host gardeners; each garden with its own
unique story and ideas for you to take home to your own garden.
The five gardens are situated in Sale, Stratford and
Briagolong. Sale Life Skills
Facility is community involvement in action offering easy access gardens with
limited landscaping.
In Stratford you will enjoy two gardens, both offering ideas
on bee keeping, chook raising and wonderful tips on bottling and organic waste
management.
Anton and Wylva in Briagolong offer yet a different
perspective with a very casual garden that has an artistic flair and Peter Frost is back with his large netted garden and fresh produce preserving ideas.

Well done, what a wonderful inspiration. Can you come past Sale to Bairnsdale, we could do with this :)
The Wellington Sustainability Group would love to combine with the East Gippsland community to include Bairnsdale in a future Open Garden Tour.
If you know a good contact, please get them to email us at: wellingtonsustainabilitygroup@gmail.com.
Cheers :)
